ETA: THE CARNIVAL IS NOW LIVE. PLEASE GO HERE AND ENJOY! How it works:Sign up by commenting below to claim your favorite female literary character (first come, first serve, no duplicates). You may sign up for more than one, but please make each new claim a separate comment. Make your post sometime between now and Sunday, October 21, 2012. Be sure to leave your post UNLOCKED. Send a link to your post to
lisal825 or just reply to your comment here in this meme. On Sunday, October 21, I will make a megapost that includes links to all of your posts, and we can all enjoy a carnival of posts on some amazing women in literature.
What should my post look like?Your post can be short or long, serious or comical. It may be meta, essay, poetry, or fanmix. Your character can be from present-day novels or written in the 15th century, a YA novel or children's book character, or Austenian heroine. Just be you and tell us why you love this particular character. There is no right or wrong way to do this.
How do I get involved?Comment below with your choice of literary character (and the book they're from) to claim your spot. Write your post, send me the link. This is open to everyone on lj, not just those on my flist. On the day of the carnival, be sure to go around to many of the posts and leave comments for those who have worked so hard on their piece. Enjoy!
